AMAN Opens Light Exhibition In Cooperation With Dadu, Children's Museum Of Qatar
Doha, Qatar: The Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers under the Qatar Social Work Foundation, inaugurated the Light Exhibition in cooperation with Dadu, Children's Museum of Qatar.
The exhibition will run until October 9, during which Aman awareness workshops will be delivered to students from public and private schools as well as kindergartens. The aim is to raise awareness and promote community education on issues related to social protection, enhance child protection mechanisms, and equip children with new and innovative skills.
As part of this collaboration, both parties developed a plan to train Aman Center staff on how to use the Light Exhibition to deliver awareness workshops in new and creative ways. In the future, it will also be used as a preliminary diagnostic tool by social workers and psychologists in dealing with some of the cases benefiting from the Center's internal care services.
On this occasion, Fadl bin Mohammed Al-Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of AMAN, emphasised the importance of cooperation with Qatar Museums, represented by Dadu Children's Museum.
He highlighted that the Museum's vision and mission of educating children through play complements Aman's vision and mission of ensuring protection and social rehabilitation for targeted groups-women, children, and victims of family breakdown and violence-through innovative methods and modern programs that keep pace with technological developments. He added that Aman is committed every year to implementing awareness programs and initiatives through workshops for school, university, and kindergarten students.
Al-Kaabi further commended the efforts and cooperation of Dadu Children's Museum in implementing the Light Exhibition program, noting that it represents an educational environment for children and a unique opportunity.
The exhibition enables Aman's workshop teams to present topics related to social issues-such as bullying, neglect, and self-protection-in innovative ways by using light and shadow techniques.
Moreover, it will greatly benefit Aman's occupational rehabilitation team, who will receive training from Dadu Children's Museum on how to use and integrate the exhibition in rehabilitating targeted children.
