Above 1000 Needy Families Distributed Cash Aid In Wardak
MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): More than one thousand needy families were distributed cash assistance in the Behsud district of central Maidan Wardak province, the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department said on Friday.
The department in a press release said the assistance was distributed among 1,051 needy families by the World Food Programme (WFP) in coordination with the technical assistance of TSDO organization.
Each family received 2,900 afghanis.
The Rural Rehabilitation and Development said it plans to distribute similar assistance to the needy in a number of other districts in the future.
It comes days after cash assistance was provided to over 1,400 needy families in the Chak district of the province.
