Golden Triangle Fall Events Take Center Stage With Art Ave

(MENAFN- PR Newswire) As part of Art Ave, the Golden Triangle BID is rolling out a full fall lineup of interactive activities and cultural performances, wellness programming, and family-friendly events designed to amplify the energy in downtown DC and welcome residents, workers, and visitors to the heart of the city.

All events are free and open to the public , inviting people to gather, move, and connect. The activities represent a focus on creating fun experiences that draw more people into the central office corridor and support goals for downtown vibrancy aligned with Mayor Bowser's Growth Agenda.

Funded through the DC Office of Planning's Streets for People grant program , Art Ave will include not only this dynamic calendar of events but also interactive public artworks and curated outdoor furnishings.

"Art Ave is an example of a partnership that harnesses one of our greatest assets – our public space-to make downtown DC a great place to live, play, work, and visit," said Office of Planning Director Anita Cozart.

The fall events in Farragut Square offer something for everyone, combining creative expression with awe-inspiring experiences in one of DC's most dynamic neighborhoods.

"From live drumming and storytelling to yoga in the park, these events augment the magnificent outdoor art gallery and are a celebration of the city's creative spirit and our public spaces."

TriFit: Yoga in the Park with CorePower Yoga
Tuesdays, September 9 – October 21 | 5:30 – 6:30 PM | Farragut Square
Unwind after work with free outdoor yoga sessions guided by instructors from CorePower Yoga . Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a curious beginner, TriFit offers an hour of movement, mindfulness, and fresh air in the park.

Farragut Fun Days
Thursdays, September 11 – October 16 | 12:30 – 2:00 PM | Farragut Square
Lunchtime comes alive with cultural performances, community partners, and outdoor fun. Highlights include:

• Live Music & Performances : U.S. Navy Band Jazz Combo , Grammy-nominated Christylez Bacon
• Cultural Activations : Japanese origami and calligraphy with the Japan-America Society and Embassy of Japan
• Pop-Up Experiences : Book sales by Carpe Librum , dog and cat adoption stations with the Humane Rescue Alliance , and lawn games by Volo Sports

Stories in the Square
Saturdays, September 13 & 20 | 10:00 – 11:00 AM | Farragut Square
Family-friendly mornings feature storytime with DC Public Library 's Mobile Library and cultural performances that bring the stories to life:

• September 13 : Kofi Dennis' interactive West African drumming and storytelling experience
• September 20 : ¡Mucha Música! with Cantaré Latin American Music - an upbeat, educational journey through Latin rhythms, instruments, and dance
