Amman, July 30 (Petra) – The 2025/2026 CFI Jordanian Pro League kicks off this Thursday, marking the first domestic season following the national team's historic qualification for the FIFA World Cup.
Matchday 1 gets underway with two Thursday fixtures: Baqa'a face off against Sahab at 6:00 PM at Petra Stadium, followed by Salt squaring up against Shabab Al-Ordon under the lights at 8:45 PM at Amman International Stadium.
Friday brings two more clashes Al-Hussein take on Ahli at 6:00 PM at Al-Hassan Stadium, while title contenders Wehdat go head-to-head with Ramtha in a primetime showdown at 8:45 PM at King Abdullah II Stadium.
The opening round wraps up Saturday night, with reigning powerhouses Faisali locking horns with Jazira at 7:30 PM at Amman International Stadium.
The CFI Jordanian Pro League features 10 clubs this season in what promises to be a high-stakes, action-packed campaign. The league follows a revamped three-phase round-robin format as part of the Jordan Football Association's wider strategy to modernize and elevate local competitions.
The title will go to the side that tops the table at the end of all three phases. Meanwhile, the bottom two finishers will face the drop to the First Division.
Al-Hussein enter the season as defending champions, having clinched last year's title with 53 points finishing top of the table and writing their name into Jordanian football history.
