(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) INSTANBUL, July 23 (KUNA) -- The utmost aim of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine is to pave the way for peace through reaching a ceasefire, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Wednesday.
Fidan made the statement while opening a new round of talks between the two parties who are asked to focus on outcomes regarding memoranda of understanding (MoUs) signed between them.
Turkiye is ready to contribute to exchanging prisoners through offering a well-organized methodology, he noted.
Russia and Ukraine held two rounds of talks in Istanbul in May and June that resulted in exchanging prisoners of war and the projects of MoUs on settling the conflict in Ukraine.
