Norway Joins Initiative To Support Ukraine's Cyber Defense

“Norway has become the twelfth country to join the Tallinn Mechanism, an international initiative that supports the strengthening of Ukraine's cyber defense. The accession was officially announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome. Prior to this, the country had joined the initiative as an observer,” the statement said.

As part of the partnership, Norway plans to provide 25 million Norwegian kroner (over 100 million hryvnia) by the end of 2025 to support projects that increase the cyber resilience of Ukraine's civil and critical infrastructure.

The Tallinn Mechanism was launched in 2023 as a key tool for coordinating international technical assistance in the field of cybersecurity. The initiative has been joined by the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the United States, France, Sweden, and now Norway . The European Union, NATO, and the World Bank participate as official observers.

As reported, Norway and Germany will provide Ukraine with energy support packages. Agreements on the implementation of such energy projects have already been reached.
