Thousands Join 2025 Jakarta Marathon


(MENAFN) Over 30,000 athletes from more than 50 nations are engaging in the 2025 Jakarta International Marathon in Indonesia this Sunday, as reported by the country’s official media outlet.

The large-scale event kicked off early in the day in the capital, drawing 31,000 runners from both within the country and abroad.

This detail was shared by the news outlet, referencing statements made by Governor Pramono Anung.

"Participants in the Jakarta International Marathon came from 51 countries," he declared.
Since its inception in 2013, the Jakarta Marathon has been an annual tradition, steadily growing in scale and reputation.

To facilitate the smooth execution of the race, local officials blocked off 32 roads throughout the metropolis.

The marathon commenced at the iconic National Monument, centrally located in Jakarta.
