Toy Biz International 2025 To Feature Over 350 Indian Brands And Attract 10000 Global Buyers

(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, Jun 18 (KNN) Toy Biz International 2025, India's biggest toy trade fair, is set to showcase over 350 Indian toy brands and draw more than 10,000 buyers from 25 countries.

Major global retailers including Walmart, Hamleys India, Landmark, and Lulu Group are expected to participate, reflecting growing international interest in Indian-made toys.

Organised by the Toy Association of India (TAI), the event highlights India's rise in the global toy industry amid shifting global supply chains.

The transformation is driven by increased tariffs on Chinese toys by the US and growing scrutiny of Southeast Asian suppliers, opening new doors for Indian manufacturers.

Capitalizing on this opportunity, Indian toy makers are expanding production, forming international partnerships, and adhering to global quality norms. Major US and European retailers are increasingly sourcing from India, seeing it as a stable and competitive alternative.

Government support has played a key role. By raising basic customs duty on toy imports from 20 per cent to 60 per cent and enforcing stricter quality standards through mandatory BIS certification, India has significantly cut low-quality imports-especially from China, which earlier dominated over 70 per cent of India's toy imports.

As a result, toy imports have fallen by over 70 per cent between FY2018-19 and FY2023-24, while exports have grown by more than 60 per cent in the same period. Industry experts estimate the Indian toy market could reach USD 3 billion by 2028, growing at a CAGR of 12 per cent.

“India is now on the global radar for high-quality, innovative, and safe toy manufacturing,” said Pawan Gupta, spokesperson and former Vice-President of TAI.“Toy Biz 2025 is proof that we're ready to lead.”
