Mass U.S. Deportation: 90 More Venezuelans Migrants Return Home

(MENAFN) A group of 90 Venezuelan migrants expelled by the United States landed in Caracas on Wednesday, according to an announcement from the Interior Ministry.

The deportees—comprising 77 men, six women, and seven children—were flown from Texas to Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, which services the greater Caracas region.

"Venezuelan government agencies and institutions are guaranteeing the different protocols regarding health and legal security for the arrival of those who were deported by the U.S. government," the ministry stated in an official release.

Upon arrival, the returnees were received by officials from several national bodies, including the Ministry of Health, the National Children's Institute, the Bolivarian National Police, and intelligence agencies.

Repatriation flights from the U.S. have ramped up since February, reflecting a broader policy shift.

Venezuelan officials report that over 4,000 citizens have been returned from both the United States and Mexico since the beginning of the year, underscoring the scale of the deportation effort.
