Continued Israeli Strikes in Gaza Cause More Palestinian Deaths
(MENAFN) On early Wednesday, 12 more Palestinians, with six children among them, were murdered in Israeli airstrikes over the Gaza Strip, as Israel's violent actions persisted.
These strikes targeted houses as well as numbers of residents, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the war-torn region.
In the northern Gaza governorate, eight Palestinians, six of whom were children, lost their lives when an Israeli airstrike hit a home belonging to the Al-Najjar family, based on medical sources.
Additionally, two more Palestinians, a father and his son, were killed in another airstrike targeting an apartment in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with witnesses reporting that teams are continuing to search for other missing individuals in the region.
In the southern Gaza Strip, an Israeli airstrike against a group of civilians in Khan Younis city killed two Palestinians, including a woman, as confirmed by a medical source.
This latest attack comes as Israel has maintained its closure of Gaza's crossings since early March, severely limiting humanitarian aid and leading to a significant shortage of food supplies in the already devastated territory.
The situation has worsened since the Israeli army initiated an unexpected aerial campaign on March 18, which resulted in nearly 800 fatalities as well as over 1,600 injuries, despite a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal that took effect in January.
