
Reconstruction Project Kicks Off At Balkh Airport
KABUL (Pajhwok): Estimated to cost more than 73 million afghanis, a reconstruction project has begun at the Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport in northern Balkh province, the Ministry of Transport and Aviation said on Monday.
On its X platform, MoTA said the project included construction of a large parking lot with a capacity to accommodate 1,000 vehicles and a waiting area for passengers.
It said the project would be completed in 14 months and would be a useful step towards standardizing the airport.
