Kuwait DM Attends Abu Dhabi's IDEX, NAVDEX

ABU DHABI, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah met, on Monday, with Dubai Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
According to a Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense statement, Sheikh Abdullah's visit came in response to an official invitation from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad.
Sheikh Abdullah arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier today, accompanied by Army Deputy Chief of the General Staff Maj. Gen. Pilot Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with other officials from the Ministries of Defense and Interior.
Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah and Sheikh Hamdan Al-Maktoum both attended the opening of the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) 2025 and the Naval Defense and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
IDEX and NAVDEX, which kicked off today and will continue until February 21, showcase the latest innovations and technologies in the fields of defense and maritime security.
The 17th edition of IDEX and the 8th edition of NAVDEX bring together leading global defense companies, decision-makers, and industry experts to present advanced technological solutions aimed at enhancing international peace and security.
Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE's hosting of specialized exhibitions in the defense and maritime sectors reflects its advanced capabilities and leadership in these fields.
He also commended the extensive efforts made to present cutting-edge defense technologies, with participation from major global companies and leading industry experts.
The minister highlighted the significance of IDEX and NAVDEX as key platforms for exchanging expertise and exploring the latest technological developments in defense and security.
He noted that these events provide valuable opportunities to enhance defense cooperation and adopt advanced technologies to boost the efficiency and readiness of Kuwait's armed forces. (end)
