Qatar Resident Completes 450Km Solo Scooter Ride

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar resident Hussein Ali Anwari accomplished a daring 450km solo scooter journey to etch a new chapter in his book of adventure riding.
Driven by a passion for exploring Qatar in a special way, Hussein embarked on an exciting road trip from Al Wakra to cover the cities and heritage sites across Qatar. Hussain covered the whole country on his 200cc scooter in nine hours.“I accomplished the mission that some of my friends thought impossible,” Hussein said. He started the trip from Al Wakra Old Souq from where he embarked on a ride to Al Khor, and reached Al Shamal City.
From Al Shamal, he rode towards Al Ruwais, and then to Zubarah where he explored Qatar's largest heritage site with the charming ancient fort and residential palaces.“From Zubara, I kept riding on to reach the western city of Dukhan after covering Al Jemailiya,” he explained.
Through the city of Umm Bab, Hussein rode to the Abu Samra border from where he travelled to Mesaieed, the southern city through Salwa Road and Al Majd Road. From Mesaieed, the trip culminated at Al Wakra - all in nine hours of road trip.
Hussein is glad that he reached his goal after undertaking the daring endeavour.
“The weather was not in my favour and I felt cold when riding the scooter. It was a day with strong wind,” he said. The two arrangements Hussein made before embarking on the trip, were to ensure he was physically fit enough as well as his scooter, to fulfil the dream trip.
