(MENAFN) Iran and Türkiye are cooperating in order to reach a target of USD30 billion in two sided trade, Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat announced Wednesday.
Following meeting with Iranian Leader Masoud Pezeshkian as part of his trip to the capital of Iran, Tehran for the 29th Meeting of the Türkiye-Iran Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, Bolat declared Türkiye aims to renew its energy deal with Iran, in accordance with a statement published by the Iranian Chairman.
Highlighting that they will restructure the border gates to ease the mutual customs trade between the two nations, Bolat stated: “We are trying to open two more border gates with Iran.” He added, "We are also trying to strengthen border crossings and markets between the two countries,”
Bolat stressed that they also aim to recover the preferential trade agreement inked with Iran in 2015 and to implement an extensive agreement on tourism.
Pezeshkian announced that he has always stressed the essential and significance of reinforcing relations among Islamic nations and that they talked about this in their meetings with Turkish Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan
