(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Russia emphasized the significance of deploying huge efforts to enforce the cease-fire pact that was signed between Israel and Lebanon, as Beirut announced over 120 breechings since the agreement begun in the previous week.
Replying to a question from a news agency regarding cease-fire breechings by the Israeli forces after the pact was implemented on November 27, Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova said to a news meeting in Moscow that the conditions in the area is frequently being altered, so Moscow feels it is improper to voice remarks on the present condition of the pact`s deployment. She added, "There is, however, an important nuance: we expressed our hope that the agreement would work. The same assessment was shared by political scientists and officials who recognized that it is one thing to reach an agreement and quite another to put it into reality. Therefore, we must strive for this,"
She continued, saying that Russia will commit to its prior messages on the subject, which the representative declared, that he has given an evaluation that backs the cease-fire pact and expressed hope that it would be enforced.
