Second Anniversary Of Terrorist Attack In Olenivka: Azov Regiment Soldiers Call To Tell World About Tragedy

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On the day of the second anniversary of the terrorist attack in Olenivka, soldiers of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine called for telling the world about this tragedy.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in an appeal published on the Azov regiment's Telegram channel.
"On the second anniversary of the terrorist attack in Olenivka, we urge you to tell the world about this tragedy. Join the commemoration of the victims of the Russian crime. Involve Ukrainian and international audiences," the statement reads.
Azov reminded that on the night of 28-29 July two years ago, the occupiers blew up a barracks in the Olenivka colony near Donetsk with Azov prisoners. As a result of the explosion, 54 Mariupol defenders were killed and 130 others were wounded.
"The wounded Azov soldiers carried the bodies of their comrades. The occupiers left those who could be saved to die. Olenivka is a crime against humanity, a violation of all possible rules of warfare and treatment of prisoners of war," Azov said.
They emphasise that the Russians rely on the short memory of the international community, the oblivion of its crimes and their own propaganda.

"Every spread is important. The more people learn about the occupiers' crimes, the less chances Russia has to avoid punishment. Tell us about Olenivka. Join us in commemorating the victims of the terrorist attack," the soldiers call in their appeal to people.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the administration of US President Joseph Biden will allow the Azov Brigade to use US weapons , lifting a ban imposed many years ago amid concerns about the founders of the military unit.
