for his message posted on X on Saturday, asking for support for a“better future” in Venezuela, just hours before the Caribbean country holds its presidential elections.
In response, the former opposition deputy told the tycoon that Venezuelans are“determined to live with dignity and prosperity” and to have their relatives who emigrated“return home.”

The anti-Chavez leader supports the candidacy of former ambassador Edmundo González Urrutia, standard-bearer of the main opposition coalition - the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) - who will compete against nine candidates, including the head of state, Nicolás Maduro.
In his post on social media, Musk said that“it is time for the people of Venezuela to have the opportunity for a better future.”
The international community, which is hosting millions of Venezuelan migrants, is closely watching this process, especially after an electoral campaign - which ended last Thursday - with multiple complaints from the anti-Chavez majority about arrests, obstacles and "threats", among others.
In this regard, various countries in the region expressed their“concern” and their desire for the electoral process to develop peacefully and for the result to be respected by the parties.
