Egypt Takes Part In Four-Party Meeting On Gaza


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, July 26 (KUNA) -- An Egyptian security delegation will meet their peers from Qatar, the United States and Israel in Rome on Sunday to discuss the prospects of a deal on cessation of hostilities in Gaza Strip.
The planned four-party meeting falls in the framework of the mediation efforts of Egypt, Qatar and the United States to restore calm in the Strip, Cairo News TV channel reported on Friday, citing an Egyptian senior security official under the condition of anonymity.
Egypt presses for a deal that could guarantee immediate ceasefire, entry of relief aid into Gaza, full withdrawal of the Israeli forces from Rafah border crossing and the freedom of movement of the residents of the Gaza, officials told Extra News TV. (end)
