Russians Have Serious Problems With Recruiting New Contract Soldiers - Yusov

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The enemy is suffering heavy losses in manpower and equipment, which it cannot effectively replenish.

This was stated by Andriy Yusov, spokesman for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, during the United News telethon.

According to him, problems with the manpower recruitment plan will have an impact on the situation at the frontline in one way or another.

"Such estimates are made on the basis of large losses in manpower and equipment, in the enemy's forces and means. They can replenish these losses, but there are already serious problems with the recruitment of new contract soldiers. And the aggressor state is coming up with new incentives at various levels to attract new cannon fodder. But this machine is starting to malfunction. There are also problems with the manpower recruitment plan, and this will have an impact on the situation at the front," Yusov said.

He also believes that the enemy's weakest point is the lack of modern means, weapons and equipment.

"The enemy is mainly focused on the decommissioning and modernisation of old Soviet weapons. But there are problems with the production of new equipment - in particular, because of the sanctions policy. Access to modern electronic systems, optics, communication systems - the enemy still has significant problems with all this," Yusov said.

As reported by Ukrinform, the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Pivnenko believes that Russian troops will not be able to conduct active assaults in many directions at once in a month and a half and will be on the defensive.
