Two Killed, Six Injured As Russian Army Shells Donetsk Region

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Russian army shelled territorial communities in the Donetsk region on Tuesday, killing two people and leaving six others injured.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office announced this on Facebook , Ukrinform reports.

Pre-trial investigations have been started in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war (Parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on July 23, at 17:20, Russian forces shelled a residential area in Lyman, killing two locals aged 58 and 66.

Two women aged 50 and 74 and a 51-year-old man were injured. According to preliminary reports, the army of the aggressor state used an Iskander missile.

In addition, at 18:00, Russian forces struck the Novohrodivka merged territorial community, attacking a highway with an FPV drone. Three civilians aged 49 to 68 were injured.

About 15 residential buildings and a car were damaged. Prosecutors are taking all measures to document war crimes committed by members of the Russian armed forces.
