
Ukraine To Receive $3.9B Grant From U.S. Shmyhal
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting on Tuesday, July 23, Ukrinform reports, citing his Telegram channel.
"The government today makes a decision to attract a grant of $3.9 billion from the United States. The funds will come through the World Bank's agencies," he said.
Read also: Ukraine expects EUR 4.1B tranche from EU in Sept - PMShmyhal said that the Cabinet of Ministers would use this money to pay salaries to rescue workers, teachers, and doctors and implement social support programs.
"We expect this grant to come shortly," he added.
Earlier reports said that Ukraine had reached an agreement with the Committee of Eurobond Owners of Ukraine on debt restructuring, which will help save $11.4 billion on its maintenance during the next three years and $22.75 billion until 2033.
