His journey into the world of music began at the age of six, when he discovered a profound connection with the piano. Despite being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Zayed has managed to channel his unique abilities into captivating performances, including playing his favorite piece, Richard Clayderman's "Ballade pour Adeline," to a full house in Abu Dhabi. His talents were further showcased at the prestigious Harmony Under the Sky concert.
For Zayed, the piano has become more than just an instrument; it has been a gateway to a world of endless possibilities. "I like to play classical music. I feel more relaxed and happy when playing the piano," Zayed shared with The National. The piano's multitude of keys allows him to explore a wide range of sounds, which brings him immense joy and comfort.
Zayed’s performance of "Ballade pour Adeline," accompanied by an orchestra, was a particularly significant milestone for him. His mother, Mariam Kouraichi, recalls this moment as a highlight in his musical journey, describing it as "an outstanding experience." The applause and cheers from the audience were not just affirmations of his talent but also a source of motivation for Zayed. Kouraichi notes that participating in such events has helped Zayed overcome his initial fears and build confidence in social interactions.
Zayed's early years were marked by considerable challenges. He struggled with speech and often expressed himself through crying and yelling.
