Biden unveils when he’ll come out from quarantine

(MENAFN) United States President Joe Biden is set to return to the campaign trail next week after being in quarantine at his Delaware home since Wednesday, following a positive COVID-19 test. The quarantine has temporarily halted his campaign activities, but it has not prevented a flurry of media speculation suggesting that prominent Democratic figures, including former President Barack Obama, might be pushing for Biden to withdraw from the reelection race due to concerns over his cognitive abilities.

In response to these reports, Biden's aides have firmly rejected the notion of him stepping down. They emphasized that Biden is eager to resume campaigning and continue highlighting the threats posed by Donald Trump's "Project 2025" agenda. This conservative manifesto, developed by a right-leaning think tank, advocates for sweeping changes including the overhaul of federal agencies, restrictions on immigration and abortion rights, and a broader right-wing transformation of the United States government. Despite Trump’s disavowal of direct involvement in the manifesto, Biden's campaign has focused on it as a critical point of contention.

Jen O'Malley Dillon, Biden’s campaign chairwoman, reaffirmed on MSNBC that Biden remains committed to his presidential bid and will not be withdrawing.
