Israeli military confirms deaths of 2 soldiers during operations in northern Gaza Strip
(MENAFN) Early this morning, the Israeli military confirmed the deaths of two soldiers during operations in the northern Gaza Strip. According to a report by Yedioth Ahronoth, Captain Roy Miller, aged 21, hailing from Herzliya near Tel Aviv, lost his life while commanding a platoon in the Rotem Battalion of the Givati Brigade. The incident occurred during a fierce clash inside a building located in the northern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Additionally, Captain Eli Elisha Lugasi, also 21 years old, from Kiryat Shmona, was tragically killed in the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City. He served as a team commander in Battalion No. 75 of the 7th Armored Brigade and fell victim to anti-tank fire during the operation.
The losses of these two young officers underscore the ongoing intensity and risks faced by Israeli forces operating in Gaza. The incidents reflect the volatile and dangerous conditions in the region, where military engagements continue to exact a heavy toll on both sides involved in the conflict.
