Tesla reports production of over 41K vehicles, delivery of 444,000 in Q2

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Tesla announced its production and delivery results for the second quarter, revealing that it produced over 410,000 vehicles and delivered nearly 444,000 during the period. The American electric carmaker specified that it manufactured 386,576 Model 3/Y vehicles and 24,255 units of other models from April to June. In terms of deliveries, Tesla reported 422,405 Model 3/Y vehicles and 21,551 of other models were delivered in the same timeframe.

Despite these numbers, Tesla's second-quarter production and delivery figures showed a decline compared to the same period in 2023. Last year, the company produced 460,211 Model 3/Y vehicles and delivered 446,915 vehicles in the April-June period.

Looking ahead, Tesla plans to disclose its financial results for the second quarter, including metrics like net income, revenue, and cash flow, after the market closes on July 23. The upcoming financial report will provide further insights into the company's performance amid evolving market conditions and operational challenges.

Following the announcement, Tesla's stock price demonstrated an 8.7 percent increase, reaching USD228.08 per share as of 1:27 p.m. EDT on Nasdaq, up from the previous day's closing price of USD209.8 per share. The market's positive reaction reflects investor sentiment towards Tesla's production and delivery figures amidst broader market dynamics and expectations for the electric vehicle sector.
