Moehe Prepares Students For Participation In Science Olympiads

Doha, Qatar: In preparation for participating in the various international science Olympiads, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has trained students participating in the International Physics olympiad held in Iran from July 21 to 29, 2024.

The International Chemistry Olympiad will be held in Saudi Arabia from July 21 to 30, 2024, the International Biology Olympiad in Kazakhstan from July 7 to 14, as well as the International Junior Science Olympiad held in Romania from December 2 to 12, 2024.

This comes in light of the ministry's interest in developing education and achieving its strategy, which aims to build advanced educational systems and provide distinguished educational opportunities for students. It also aims to develop their scientific abilities and skills and enable them to compete in international competitions.

Students' participation in international scientific competitions also reflects their excellence and the remarkable development witnessed by schools in Qatar. Student teams receive intensive training under the supervision of science mentors at the ministry to prepare them for advanced scientific competitions in these events.

In this context, Head of the Science Department at MoEHE Aisha Al Mesaifri expressed her pride in Qatar students' participation in the International Science Olympiad and the International Junior Science Olympiad competition. She stressed that their participation contributes to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on building a knowledge-based economy and preparing the future generation to achieve sustainable development.

The ministry looks forward to increasing the participation of its students in international scientific competitions by providing specialised and comprehensive training programmes in advanced scientific research skills and data analysis. It also looks forward to providing preparatory courses that include a larger number of talented students, organising specialised workshops under the supervision of international experts, and building partnerships with international educational and scientific institutions to exchange experiences and knowledge and enhance cooperation in science.

It is worth noting that the International Science Olympiad is held annually and sees the participation of students from various countries.

These competitions allow students to showcase their scientific and creative abilities on the international stage. They are a step towards building a generation of young scientists and researchers capable of leading innovation and development in the future.
