Iran to collaborate with Belarus in gas turbines output


(MENAFN) During a joint meeting at the 4th SCO energy Ministers' gathering in Astana, Kazakhstan, Energy Ministers from Iran and Belarus underscored their mutual readiness to collaborate in the field of gas turbine production, emphasizing the potential for robust industrial cooperation.

An Iranian news agency reported that the Iranian Energy Minister highlighted Belarus's advanced industrial capabilities and technological prowess, particularly in electronics, mining machinery, and various equipment sectors. He noted Iran's own advancements in technology and industry since the revolution, highlighting the fertile ground for fruitful cooperation between the two nations.

"Iran has made significant strides in industrial development, and there is ample opportunity to strengthen economic relations between our countries," Minister Mehrabian stated. He expressed Iran's readiness to engage with Belarus in sales and after-sales services related to gas turbines, underscoring Iran's commitment to enhancing bilateral economic ties.

In response, Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich emphasized the potential for knowledge exchange between Iran and Belarus in the construction, maintenance, and repair of gas turbines. This exchange of expertise signifies a strategic pathway towards deepening cooperation and leveraging synergies in the energy sector.

The discussions between the energy ministers reflect a shared commitment to exploring new avenues of collaboration, particularly in high-tech industrial sectors. By capitalizing on respective strengths, Iran and Belarus aim to foster mutual economic growth and technological advancement, further solidifying their bilateral relations within the SCO framework.
