Police Takes Cognizance Of Arson, Damage To Shrine In Srinagar

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- Police in Srinagar has taken cognizance of the arson and damage to the shrine of a saint in Sangam area of the district.

An official said that that police has taken cognizance of the incident of arson & damage to the shrine of Baba Naseeb-ud-din Gazi.

He said that FIR No. 24/24 under relevant sections of law stands registration in PS Sangam and further investigation has been taken up.

“Thorough & speedy investigation is underway to ensure that the prepetrators are brought to justice, he said.

“Common public is appealed to desist from spreading rumours/false information,” he added.

“They shouldn't fall prey to false propaganda of anti-social elements. Legal action shall be taken against those who are found to be involved in provocative act/instigation,” he added further.
