US Reveals 2023 Enrollment Statistics For Azerbaijani Students


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Over 900 Azerbaijanistudents studied at US higher education institutions in 2023, USChargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Hugo Guevara told reporters on thesidelines of the EducationUSA Alumni Fair in Baku on June 1,Trend reports.

"This is an increase of 25 percent from 2022 and 62 percent morethan after the pandemic ended, really inspiring us. This representsthe highest rate in the last decade, and indicates the interest ofAzerbaijanis in studying in the US, as well as in the quality ofeducation.

We have many projects in Azerbaijan through our aid agencies have ample opportunities to continue their education inthe US at a higher level. The US offers many opportunities," hesaid.

Guevara also mentioned that the US has over 5,000 universitiesand colleges in towns and cities that offer all types of learningopportunities.

"Therefore, I believe that one of the opportunities offered bythe US is quality education in any field, which makes us attractiveto Azerbaijani students," he added.

To note, the US Embassy in Baku, in collaboration with theAmerican Councils for International Education, has organized theEducationUSA Alumni Fair as an exceptional opportunity for highschool and university students, as well as their parents,interested in pursuing education in the US.

The fair features representatives from more than 35 USuniversities along with US Embassy exchange programs.

Additionally, the embassy consular staff shared informationabout student visas.
