SpaceX Dragon capsule lands at International Space Station


(MENAFN) Four astronauts aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule arrived to the International Space Station following a day-long trip.

The capsule, moving the crew of four astronauts appointed for the Crew-7 operation, reached on Sunday at its planned site at 09.16 AM (1316GMT), NASA declared in a post on X.

At the time of landing, both the Dragon capsule as well as the space station were placed about 261 miles (420 kilometers) over Australia.

The four astronauts consist of crew lead Jasmin Moghbeli from NASA, Danish astronaut Andreas Mogensen from the European Space Agency (ESA), Satoshi Furukawa from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), as well as cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov from the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos).

The aim of the operation was to transfer a new team of astronauts to the space station for a six-month task, taking on missions from the Crew-6 astronauts who have been on the station for around 190 days.

The Crew-7 astronauts are going to stay around five days taking on missions from the Crew-6 astronauts.
