Uzbek Delegation Visits Dubai Foundation for Women and Children:

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has received a high-level delegation from Uzbekistan to exchange experiences, best practises, better safeguard the rights of vulnerable groups, and combat violence and exploitation.
The visiting Uzbek delegation, led by Nozima Davletova, Senior Consultant On Gender Issues – Uzbekistan, and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the General Organisation for the Support and Development of National Media, Zulfia Abdul Rasulova, Chief Expert in the Management and Control of Adult Social Services at the National Social Protection, and Alexandra Nam, was warmly welcomed by Ghanima Al Bahri, Director of the Care and Rehabilitation Department, and Shams Al Muhairi, Director of the Awareness and Community Services Department, along with other members of the Foundation.
During the visit, an extensive meeting was held, where the Uzbek delegation was introduced to the Foundation's key practises and services for victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and child abuse. Both parties discussed their successful initiatives and programmes aimed at safeguarding the rights of women and children while providing essential psychological and social support.
As part of the visit, the Uzbek delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the Foundation's facilities, including the Care and Rehabilitation Building. They were introduced to various methods such as play therapy, group therapy, and the relaxation room, all of which were employed to aid victims in their healing journey. The delegation was also informed about the Foundation's remote litigation services, which have been instrumental in extending support to those in need.
Expressing her happiness at the delegation’s visit, H.E. Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the Foundation, highlighted the significance of international cooperation in protecting children and women from all forms of violence and exploitation. She assured the Uzbek delegation of the Foundation's willingness to provide support and share knowledge to aid Uzbekistan's efforts in improving the status of women and children in their society.
In response, the Uzbek delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and the opportunity to learn from Dubai's successful experiences in this critical field. They reaffirmed their keenness to strengthen ties and collaborate with the Foundation to implement similar programmes in Uzbekistan to ensure the safety and welfare of their citizens.
