GCC Secretary General Affirms Support To Ease Ukrainian-Russian Crisis
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, June 7 (KUNA) -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi announced on Wednesday the council's support for all efforts aimed at mitigating the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.
The topic rose during Al-Budaiwi's meeting with the United Nations (UN) coordinator for the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Abdullah Abdulsamad Dashti, said General Secretariat in a statement.
The meeting dealt with a review of the latest developments of Ukrainian exports of wheat, foodstuffs and fertilizers, including ammonia, through a safe sea humanitarian corridor, statement added.
In addition, it also discussed the mechanism of Black Sea Initiative for the transfer of wheat and grains and its importance in maintaining the stability of global food security, as well as discussing the latest relevant developments on the regional and international arenas. (end)
