Saudi Arabia's Ambitious Plans to Rewrite Global Tourism


(MENAFN) According to Gloria Guevara Manzo, the chief special adviser at the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, Saudi Arabia is keen on expanding its tourism sector by creating new experiences and initiatives. The country has all the three essential factors required to make a successful transformation in comparison to any other country. Manzo made this statement while speaking to Arab News at the Future Hospitality Summit in Riyadh. The Kingdom aims to become a global tourism hub and intends to attract 100 million tourists annually by the end of the decade under the Vision 2030 strategy. Manzo praised the plan, calling it an "amazing" one.

Manzo also commended the Crown Prince, calling his leadership the best thing that could have happened to the country. She further added that the Minister of Tourism Al-Khateeb and the impressive ecosystem of ministers have contributed to the country's progress in the tourism sector. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has the necessary resources to make the transformation happen.

Manzo went on to say that Saudi Arabia is rewriting the travel and tourism chapter globally, and the world is closely watching how the country is developing its tourism industry. The country's efforts to diversify its economy away from oil and focus on tourism as a key sector are commendable, and the future looks bright for the Kingdom's tourism industry.
