Russian Army Shells Kherson Region 20 Times, Evacuations Continue

(MENAFN) Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, has reported that the Russian army shelled the Kherson region 20 times on March 26. Prokudin made the statement in a Telegram post, expressing his concern over the continued attacks by Russian troops on Ukrainian territory.

According to Prokudin, the enemy launched 20 attacks on the region, firing 97 shells from heavy artillery and Grad MLRS. The ongoing attacks pose a significant threat to the safety and security of citizens in the region, as well as to the stability of Ukraine as a whole.

Prokudin also noted that 43 more people were evacuated from the territory of the Kherson region, which has recently been liberated from Russian invaders. The continued violence and military activity in the region have forced many civilians to flee their homes, with the Ukrainian government and military working to ensure the safety and security of those affected by the conflict.

The shelling of the Kherson region by Russian troops follows a similar attack on March 25, during which Russian troops launched 49 attacks on the region. The ongoing violence and military activity in the region highlight the need for continued vigilance and preparedness to protect the country's citizens and national security.

The Ukrainian government and Armed Forces continue to work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict, while also taking measures to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain national security. The situation in the Kherson region remains a major concern, with the potential for further violence and conflict continuing to pose a significant threat to stability in the region.
