General Tax Authority Extends Deadline for Submitting Tax Returns in Qatar


(MENAFN) The General Tax Authority (GTA) in Qatar has announced an extension of the deadline for submitting the tax return for 2022 for all entities subject to the income tax law by one additional month, ending on May 31, 2023. This extension does not apply to companies operating in the field of petroleum operations and petrochemical industries.

The GTA has emphasized the importance of tax compliance among taxpayers and urged all companies in the country to submit their tax returns on time to avoid financial penalties. The extension of the deadline aims to provide additional time for taxpayers to prepare and submit their tax returns accurately and on time.

Taxpayers who have accounting periods different from the tax year defined in Article (1) of the Income Tax Law promulgated by Law (24) of the year 2018 and its amendments are also excluded from this extension.
