Rain Expected On Monday


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Thundery rain is expected in the country on Monday along with strong winds and poor visibility at times, the Qatar Met department has said.
Offshore areas are also likely to experience thundershowers and windy conditions today in addition to high seas, the forecast says.
The wind speed may go up to 30 knots offshore and 28 knots inshore during thundery rain, with the sea level rising to 10'.
The detailed forecast says partly cloudy-to-cloudy conditions are expected at times and there is a chance of scattered rain, which may become thundery in some places.
Similar conditions are likely to prevail in offshore areas as well.
Blowing dust is also expected at times inshore, while visibility may drop to 2km or less in some areas occasionally.
The temperature, meanwhile, will range from 22-28° Celsius in Doha today, according to the forecast.
Clouds and rain were reported from different parts of Qatar yesterday, including Doha, with the conditions turning thundery at times.
