Head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Outlines Economic Priorities for Upcoming Year

(MENAFN) Masoud Khansari, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA), has laid out the top priorities that Iran's authorities should pursue in the upcoming year, which begins on March 21. In a statement published on the TCCIMA portal, Khansari highlighted three key priorities, including getting the economy out of stagnation with collective wisdom, improving foreign relations and expanding economic diplomacy, and improving public trust.

Khansari stressed the importance of accepting the realities about the economic bottlenecks in Iran and putting proper planning and strict implementation of these plans on the agenda. He suggested delegating the work to the private sector and removing production obstacles to create a space for economic prosperity, increase in production and exports, and domestic and foreign investment.

The official further emphasized the need to simultaneously expand diplomatic relations with both the East and the West, including neighboring countries. He prioritized de-escalation to improve Iran's economic situation.

Khansari believes that Iran has great potential, and with efficient management and reliance on social capital, especially the young generation and women, the country can move towards development and become one of the largest economies in the region within a few years. However, extensive reform is necessary to reach this goal.

Improving public trust is also crucial to achieving economic prosperity, according to Khansari. He suggests that the authorities should take steps to increase transparency, reduce corruption, and promote accountability.

In conclusion, Khansari underlined the importance of economic diplomacy in improving Iran's economic situation. He believes that with the right policies and collective effort, Iran can overcome its economic challenges and become a leading economy in the region.
