Qatar Participates In CII Partnership Summit 2023 In India

New Delhi: Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Commerce and industry (MOCI), participated in the 28th edition of the CII Partnership Summit 2023, held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, under the theme: 'Partnerships for Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable and Equitable Businesses'.
Qatar's participation in the CII Partnership Summit 2023 comes within the framework of enhancing trade and investment cooperation between Qatar and the Republic of India, highlighting the country's investment environment and attracting investment opportunities to increase foreign direct investment and expand business partnership in various sectors of mutual interest.
India is Qatar's second-largest trading partner, with the volume of bilateral trade exchange standing at USD 17.2 billion in 2022, where Qatari exports to India amounted to USD 15.1 billion, whilst the number of Indian companies operating in Qatar reaching 9,136 companies.
A lineup of experts and decision-makers discussed during the CII Partnership Summit 2023 a number of topics: the future of labor, the building of a flexible and sustainable workforce, international cooperation for the reduction of carbon emissions, the role of international companies in facilitating African economic integration, industrialization and technology for Africa's comprehensive development, the role of the G20, sustainable financing, global sustainability reports, the environmental, social and institutional governance framework, and ways to achieve sustainable development.
The CII Partnership Summit 2023 is a platform for a global dialogue focusing on international economic relations and playing a greater role in shaping global economic development.
