Saudi Arabia approves USD2.13B investment for development of Jubail industrial city


(MENAFN) The Saudi government has recently approved investment deals worth SR8 billion (USD2.13 billion) for the development of Jubail Industrial City. Among the projects set to take place are the building of a hospital, a bookstore, and a hydrogen plant, along with other investments ranging from industrial to commercial services. The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, took to Twitter to reveal the details of the deals, which are focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents in Jubail.

One of the investment deals involves the National Center for Environmental Compliance Control, which will construct its headquarters in Jubail Industrial City at an estimated cost of SR270 million, creating 80 job opportunities for Saudi workers. Meanwhile, Jarir Marketing Co. will be operating a branch of Jarir Bookstore and several restaurants and cafes in Sudair's city center in the Al-Fanateer district, generating 50 jobs for Saudi citizens at an investment of SR40.1 million.

Additionally, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group has been granted an estimated investment of SR1.2 billion to construct and operate a hospital in Jubail, offering 1,800 job opportunities for Saudi workers. The projects are part of the government's efforts to support the local economy and create job opportunities for its citizens. The investment deals are expected to attract foreign investors and further promote the growth of Jubail Industrial City.
