Tavanir holds event to promote, commercialize technological products in Iran's electricity industry
(MENAFN) Tavanir, Iran's Power Generation, Distribution, and Transmission Company, recently hosted an event in collaboration with Niroo Research Institute (NRI), Iran Grid Management Company (IGMC), and regional electricity companies to showcase technological products developed by startups, institutes, and companies in the electricity industry. According to IRNA, 31 technological products were presented in the event, with the aim of promoting and commercializing these products.
The event was organized into four roundtables, each focused on a different area of the electricity industry. The first roundtable, Smart Systems, focused on the use of smart technologies in the energy sector. The Sustainable Network Development roundtable addressed the development of sustainable networks for efficient energy transmission. The Modernization roundtable discussed ways to increase network utilization through modernization, while the Localization of Transmission Lines roundtable highlighted new technologies in distribution equipment manufacturing.
Some of the products showcased at the event included charging stations for low-power electric vehicles, power distribution network monitoring systems based on image processing and thermal camera systems, programmable temperature control and warning devices for 20 kV underground substations, energy consumption monitoring systems for air conditioners based on the Internet of Things (IoT), and seismic information monitoring systems.
The event provides an opportunity for startups, institutes, and companies in the electricity industry to showcase their products and promote their commercialization. The collaboration between Tavanir, NRI, IGMC, and regional electricity companies will also help to advance the development of innovative technologies in the energy sector in Iran.
