When considering patient safety, the quality and adequate function of material and device is given by its mechanical strength, chemical stability and biocompatibility,” said Dr. Jelena Eric, Prosthodontics Specialist at The Pearl Dermatology and Laser Center.

She added:“With medical device conforming to the appropriate ISO-standard, the dentist will know that the material, instrument or equipment complies with essential quality and function requirements.”

According to Dr. Reema Hassan Mohammad Hamdan, General Dentist at Jumana Medical Center, patients also benefit from advanced technologies as the devices perform more accurately and efficiently. She stated that these technologies help complete the procedures in a safe and painless manner. She also stressed that advancements in technology greatly contribute to the modernisation of the beauty industry.

Moreover, Dr. Nida Kafayat, Dermatologist and Aesthetics Physician at Jumana Medical Center, said: 'Using modern technology, especially in the medical field, enables us to increase the engagement with our patients and help us improve our workplace safety.”

Such instances include“transferring information and monitoring the adherence progress through teledermatology, similar to digital photography, and widespread use of electronic records for all medical data.”

Current trends and social media also play a key role in why consumers opt for the latest cosmetic services. Commenting on this, Dr. Ivana Joksimovic, Specialist Dermatology at The Pearl Dermatology and Laser Center, affirmed that oftentimes patients already have prior knowledge about the new devices and skin treatments.
She said:“They are interested as the information is available on the internet and social media also have enormous influence in skincare and beauty treatments.

“The main goal of a successful cosmetic dermatology procedure is a satisfied patient, professional approach of our healthcare practitioners, doctors and nurses to each patient individually, providing adequate explanations and answers, as well as expertise, are essential in order to achieve this goal with the best possible outcome, making the procedure safe in addition to efficiency,'' she added.

At present, there is a continuous rise in demand for high-tech personalised products and services related to beauty treatment. Not only due to its heightened efficiency but it also provides consumers with a more personalised experience.
