Qatar Media Center To Hold Symposium On Social Media

Doha: Qatar Media Center of the Ministry of Culture will organize on Sunday a symposium on social media platforms at the center's headquarters.

Moderated by journalist Buthaina Abdul Jalil, the symposium will see the participation of journalist Amal Abdulmalik, lawyer Hamad Al Yafei, and psychology specialist Dr. Muhammad Al Anzi.

The symposium will shed light on digital platforms' contributions to social media in supporting and enhancing the media field. It will also discuss the line between digital and traditional media and the significant legal standards to practice media activity on various digital platforms and their social and psychological impact on society.

Director of Qatar Media Center Iman Al Kaabi indicated that the symposium comes within the framework of the center's efforts to discuss the media phenomena produced by social networks, which became news platforms that contribute to shaping the media scene at the local, Arab, and international level.
