Pakistan Condemns Tearing Up Copy Of Holy Quran In Netherlands


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Islamabad, January 25, 2023, SPA -- Pakistan strongly condemned the tearing up of a copy of the Holy Quran by an extremist in The Hague, Netherlands.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a statement today that what happened in the Netherlands is undoubtedly a provocative hate crime committed under the guise of freedom of expression.
He noted that Pakistan has repeatedly stressed that freedom of expression must be practiced responsibly, and he called on the international community as a whole to prevent such outrageous acts committed to inciting religious hatred and violence.
