Paris: The Turkish Consulate General in the French city of Marseille was attacked with Molotov cocktails.
Turkish Consul General in Marseille Arda Ulutas said in a statement to the Anadolu News Agency on Saturday that 6 people fled, after having thrown Molotov cocktails at the consulate building.
Ulutas explained that the French police began investigating the attack, following their arrival at the building, immediately after the consulate guards had pressed the alarm button.
He also noted that there were no injuries among the consulate staff, who then filed a complaint to the French authorities.
Turkish Consul General in Marseille added that the identity of the perpetrators is yet to be known and so are their motives behind the act.
