IME witness commodities exchange of USD2.5B in 1 month


(MENAFN) Throughout the last Iranian calendar month Aban (which ended on the 21st of November), 10,206,807 tons of goods with a value higher than USD2.5 billion were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

According to reports by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the exchange traded on both local and shipment sides of its oil and petrochemical exchange floor 1.767 million tons of commodities with a worth of almost USD963 million.

The IME's customers bought on this floor 452,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 509,633 tons of bitumen, 394,914 tons of polymeric outputs, 203,100 tons of lube cut, 139,208 tons of chemicals, 36,575 tons of sulfur, 26,432 tons of oil as well as 1,100 tons of insulation.

In addition, the trade witnessed exchange of a mass with an amount of 8.322 million tons of commodities valued at more than USD1.5 billion on its metals and minerals exchange floor.
