Shura Council To Participate In Arab Parliament Meetings In Cairo

Doha: The Shura Council will participate in the meetings of the standing committees of the Arab Parliament, which will begin its work on Thursday at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo, in preparation for the second session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament, due to kick off on Saturday.

The Shura Council is represented in the meetings by its members and members of the Arab Parliament - HE Shaikha bint Yousuf Hassan Al Jufairi, HE Issa bin Ahmed Al Nasr, HE Salem bin Rashid Al Meraikhi, and HE Hamad bin Abdullah Al Mulla.

The second session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament will discuss a host of issues related to pan-Arab coordination, ways to boost joint Arab parliamentary action, as well as the most prominent challenges facing joint action and ways to overcome them. The session will also review the reports of the standing committees and take the right decisions including the Palestine Committee on developments in the occupied territories, and to stand up to the continuous violations of the occupation authorities.

HE Shura Council member Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al Mohannadi will participate in the meetings of the high-level parliamentary working group for science and technology in the Arab Parliament, which aims to build bridges of cooperation and coordination and bridge the gap between science and the parliamentary field in the Arab world, increase Arab coordination, and stimulate interest in science and technology in the Arab world.
