CHICAGO — Charlie Hart has joined Current Global as executive VP, integrated media, signaling a heightened focus on digital, social and influencer work for clients. One of Hart's first initiatives at Current Global will be to refine and upscale the firm's influencer marketing approach and processes. Hart (pictured) joins the firm after nearly 11 years at Weber Shandwick, where she most recently served as executive VP of influencer marketing & digital strategy.

NEW YORK — Rox United has named Amber Meredith the agency's new president. Meredith will lead client services and business development, among other initiatives for the bi-coastal firm, which is part of the independently owned United Collective communications group. Meredith will be based in New York and will oversee Rox teams in New York and Huntington Beach, California. She will report to United Collective founder and CEO John Gallegos. Meredith has held executive roles at BMF, DeVries Global and Marina Maher Communications. She also has in-house leadership experience having worked at Sony Music, Cargo Cosmetics and luxury beauty brand Artis, where she most recently served as chief operating officer.

LOS ALTOS, CA — Steve Burns has joined Summit Strategy Group as a Sacramento-based managing director. Burns joins Summit with nearly 30 years' experience in international relations, energy, government relations, state and federal public policy matters, regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement. He began his career focused on international trade issues working for the Asia Foundation and the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council, and then moved into the energy sector leading policy groups, public affairs and government relations teams at Enron and Chevron. He later spent nearly six years with Burson-Marsteller and three years with Mercury Public Affairs/Actum.

NEW YORK — The Bliss Group has promoted five members of its staff. The firm promoted Megan Tuck to senior VP and Meghan Busch, Marisha Chinsky, Quintin Maidment and Meghan Powers to VP. Tuck and Powers were also named leaders of specialty practice groups focusing on purpose and workplace industries, respectively.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — BRG Communications has hired Michael Sloan as chief operations officer. As the first COO in the agency's more than two-decade history, Sloan will work closely with BRG CEO, Jane Barwis, to deliver on the company's mission by overseeing all operations including finance, human resources, office management and internal communications.
