Almost Half Of Ukrainians Have Close Relatives Currently At Front Lines

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to the survey aimed to assess damage caused by Russian war crimes in Ukraine', 47% of respondents say they have close relatives who are fighting off Russian invaders as part of Ukraine's defense forces.

That's according to Oleksiy Antipovych, chief of the Rating Sociological Group, who presented the poll outcome in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

To the question“Are any of your close relatives deployed to fight in the war?' 47% said yes,“and this number, as we understand, will grow, because all the time our boys and girls join the Armed Forces, all the time they get deployed in the front line, and there are losses.”

“But it must be noted that every second Ukrainian has someone who has gone to the fight in in this war. This is just a confirmation of the thesis that war affects everyone,' Antipovych said.

Also, 7% of respondents noted that they personally or their close relatives were injured or maimed as a result of hostilities.

The survey on the topic 'Assessment of the damage caused by Russia's war crimes in Ukraine' was conducted by the Rating Sociological Group on September 15-19, 2022, at the request of the Center for the Promotion of the Volunteer Movement (Volunter.Org) nonprofit.

During the study, 2,000 respondents were polled through CATI (computer-assisted telephone interviews).
