Iran will retaliate to any Israeli incursion in Middle East

(MENAFN) Major General Mohammad Baqeri, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, has warned of Israel's interventionist activities, stating the Islamic Republic will respond appropriately to any act of Israeli meddling in the Middle East.

On Monday, Baqeri spoke with his Pakistani counterpart, General Nadim Reza Nishan, in Tehran.
The senior Iranian commander noted that Israel is at the heart of all incursions and disruptive activities in the area, stressing that “The regime, through the implementation of certain plots, seeks to forge relations with regional countries and achieve its interventionist goals.”

According to Baqeri, Israel's membership in CENTCOM, deployment of military equipment, and participation in military drills would pose bigger and more significant risks to the area.
“We (Iran) do not tolerate these threats and we will certainly respond to them,” Baqeri added.

He also stated, “The emergence of terrorist and Takfiri groups in the region, especially in Syria and Iraq, were among other projects developed and encouraged by the United States and the Zionist regime in the region. In their pursuit of colonial objectives, they advanced to the brink of toppling both governments.”
