Azerbaijan Mod Talks About Naval Mines Found In Azerbaijani Sector Of Caspian Sea (PHOTO)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4. Unidentified objects
were found at a depth of up to 60 meters during the territorial
reconnaissance of Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea, conducted by a
branch of Umid Babek Operating Company (UBOC), Azerbaijani Defense
Ministry told Trend .
Ministry noted that specialists and crews of naval forces
vessels discovered six large ship anchor mines (KB-1) during the
inspection of the water area, which were dropped into the water
without fully complying with mining standards of the former
USSR.
It is planned to continue the search and neutralization of
discovered mines in cooperation with other government agencies, in
compliance with security measures, the ministry said.
The mine detection area is temporarily closed to navigation, the
ministry said.
